HiberObjects Import DB Pro can import an existing database and generate Java classes for Hibernate or JPA. These classes can then be used by other Java-based technology, such as GWT or Grails. This makes it a breeze to build AJAX applications on top of an existing database.

my_table to Java classes like MyTable.This is performed with a Groovy script that gives 100% control of the mapping. The script is configured in a wizard that makes it easy to modify the script and see the results interactively.
The imported classes can be visualized in class diagrams, and HiberObjects makes it easy to create DAOs, DTO's for GWT and unit tests for these classes.
